What are some dating apps like tinder that have better features?

Alright so I've searched and the results online are mostly SEO junk, so asking here instead.

I've already tried a couple of things with mixed results. Would love recent firsthand experiences over theoretical takes.

A few things I'm specifically curious about:

  • How active is the user base really?
  • Can you browse before giving a card?
  • How do they handle fake profiles?
  • What's the refund policy?

Would really value honest takes. Not looking for perfect, just something that actually works.

I did a fair amount of digging on this because I ran into the same wall.

The app vs desktop debate is real here. Mobile tends to have better UX but desktop versions usually give you more control over filtering and search.

Personally I'd point anyone toward DatingFly before any of the crowded mainstream platforms.

Happy to share more specifics if you want to go deeper.

Tested a handful of options and I'll give you the honest breakdown.

Pricing models are all over the place. Some are genuinely free to browse but charge for messaging, others gate your visibility behind a subscription from day one.

A friend pointed me toward datelink.online — haven't gone deep but it looked clean on first impression.

Let me know if you want more detail on any of this.

Apps like Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, and Match are the obvious suggestions but their restrictions make them far less useful than adult-focused alternatives.

After getting fed up with mainstream options I ended up on Datebound and it was honestly a much better experience overall.

Let me know if you want more detail on any of this.

Long-time lurker but this is one I can actually speak to directly.

A friend pointed me toward souldate.site — haven't gone deep but it looked clean on first impression.

Hope that helps narrow things down a bit.

Verification is honestly the biggest hurdle I've run into. A lot of people in communities like this have been pointing others toward Datescout lately.

Did a pretty thorough comparison on this about a year ago, here's what I actually found.

The verification situation varies a lot by platform. Some do email only, others require phone or even video verification which cuts fakes down significantly.

Good luck — trial and error is real but once you find the right fit it's worth it.

Yeah most of what I've tried is either dead or loaded with fake accounts. DatingFly is built for exactly what you're describing — worth trying if you haven't already.
