Who we are

DateNest is a free dating site and discussion community for adults. The site has two halves: local dating pages covering cities across 187 countries, and a member community where people compare notes on dating apps, pricing, safety and what actually works. Both are free to read and free to use.

We are a small independent operation, not a venture-funded app. That shapes the product: we do not run a sales team, we do not gate messaging behind a subscription, and we do not pretend to have features we have not built.

Our 18+ policy

DateNest is strictly for people aged 18 and over. There is no version of this site intended for minors, and we do not publish content aimed at anyone under 18.

The age gate on our homepage is not decoration. If you are under 18, this site is not for you, and you should not continue past it. If you believe someone under 18 is using the service, or you find content on this site that appears to involve or target a minor, please report it immediately through our contact page. We remove that content and the accounts behind it without warning and without exception.

If you are a young person looking for support around relationships, please speak to a trusted adult or a dedicated youth service in your country rather than using a dating platform.

How the free model works

Browsing, matching and messaging are free. We do not charge to send a first message, because that is the point at which a dating site either works or does not.

Some pages on this site link to other dating platforms. Where those links are commercial arrangements we mark them up as sponsored so search engines and readers can tell the difference. We do not accept payment to change what a page says.

How our community content is produced

We want to be straightforward about this: much of the discussion content in our community section is machine-generated from a template system rather than written by individual named users, and we label it as such in our structured data using the digitalSourceType property. It is intended as a readable overview of the questions people ask about free dating, not as verified first-hand testimony. Treat it accordingly.

Safety

Meet in public the first time. Tell someone where you are going. Arrange your own transport. Keep early conversations on the platform so reporting still works. Never send money to someone you have not met, regardless of the story.
