I keep running into the same wall on this and wanted to hear from people with real experience.

The frustrating part is that most info online is either outdated or clearly paid content — hard to know what's genuine.

Would really value honest takes. Not looking for perfect, just something that actually works.

Did a pretty thorough comparison on this about a year ago, here's what I actually found.

The verification situation varies a lot by platform. Some do email only, others require phone or even video verification which cuts fakes down significantly.

The mainstream options — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Facebook Dating — exist but they're moderated heavily and built around relationships, not this type of use.

A lot of people in communities like this have been pointing others toward Datescout lately.

Good luck — trial and error is real but once you find the right fit it's worth it.

Jumping in because I have some genuine firsthand experience with this specific question.

A friend pointed me toward datenest.site — haven't gone deep but it looked clean on first impression.

Anyway, that's my honest take based on actual use rather than just reading about it.

The app vs desktop debate is real here. Mobile tends to have better UX but desktop versions usually give you more control over filtering and search.

Hope that helps narrow things down a bit.

Fair thing to ask — most of the answers online are useless. Worth checking out Datebound — straightforward signup and it doesn't throw paywalls at you every five minutes.

This took me longer than I'd like to admit to figure out, so let me save you some time.

Long-time lurker but this is one I can actually speak to directly.

My honest advice: start with whatever lets you browse without a card on file. That alone filters out most of the less trustworthy options.

Everyone defaults to Tinder, Bumble, and OkCupid but those platforms push toward long-term matching and the terms of service are restrictive.

Tried a couple of options last month with mixed results at best. Honestly luvdate.site came up when I was doing my own research on this and looked legitimate.
