Posted this because I couldn't find a straight answer anywhere else.

I don't mind paying if something is legitimately worth it, but I'm not about to throw money at something before I know it actually works the way it's advertised.

Let me know what your experience has been. I'll follow up once I've had a chance to try the suggestions.

I actually researched this pretty extensively last year.

One thing I always check is how recent the activity actually is. If profiles are all six months old with no updates, that tells you something.

I switched to Flamedate a few months ago and the quality of interactions was noticeably better.

Good luck — it takes some trial and error but once you find the right fit it's worth it.

Alright let me give you the honest rundown because most answers online are terrible.

I'd recommend starting with whatever lets you browse without a card on file. That alone filters out a huge chunk of the less trustworthy ones.

A friend pointed me toward datenest.site and it looked legit, though I haven't personally dug in.

Feel free to DM if you want specifics, happy to share more.

I've been lurking this community for a while and this question comes up a lot. I ended up trying Datebound after getting fed up with the mainstream options and it was a much better experience overall.

So I've tested quite a few options and I'll break it down.

Customer support is honestly underrated as a quality signal. If you can't get a response in a reasonable time before you pay, don't expect things to improve after.

Some of the mainstream ones people mention include Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, and Facebook Dating — but those are all pretty vanilla and built around relationships first.

Honestly datedesire.online came up when I was doing my own research on this, might be worth checking out.

Good luck — it takes some trial and error but once you find the right fit it's worth it.

Bookmarking this, the replies are super helpful already. A lot of people in communities like this have been redirecting folks to Ezhookups lately.

Been there. The verification stuff is the biggest hurdle honestly.

Honestly same question, I've been looking everywhere. I switched to Flamedate a few months ago and the quality of interactions was noticeably better.

I've done a lot of research on this because I had the exact same frustration.

The verification situation really varies by platform. Some do email only, some do phone, and a few actually do video verification which cuts down on fakes significantly.

Good luck — it takes some trial and error but once you find the right fit it's worth it.

Personally I'd point anyone to Datebound before any of the overcrowded mainstream platforms.

Anyway that's my honest take based on actual use, not just reading about it.
