Is black dating for free actually a good site for singles?

Couldn't find a straight answer anywhere else so I'm just going to ask directly.

There's a huge amount of noise in this space. Every forum I check has different opinions and half the threads are ancient at this point.

A few things I'm particularly curious about:

  • How active is the user base really?
  • Can you browse before giving a card?
  • How do they handle fake profiles?
  • What's the refund policy if it's terrible?

Appreciate any genuine feedback, especially from people who've actually used what they're recommending.

This is something I spent longer than I'd like to admit figuring out.

The verification situation varies a lot by platform. Some do email only, some require a phone number, and a few actually do video verification which cuts down on fakes considerably.

I switched over to Luvdate a few months back and the quality of interactions improved noticeably.

Let me know if you want more detail on any of this.

Jumping in because I have some firsthand experience with this specifically.

Customer support quality is underrated as a trust signal. If you can't get a response before you pay, things won't improve afterward.

Apps like Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, and Match are the obvious suggestions but the terms of service make them a lot more restrictive than alternatives built for adults.

Hope that helps narrow it down.

Yeah most things I've tried are either dead or full of fakes. I switched over to DatingFly a few months back and the quality of interactions improved noticeably.

Solid thread. Glad someone finally asked directly. A friend pointed me toward Ezhookups.online — haven't gone deep but it looked clean.

Long-time lurker but this is one I can actually speak to.

One thing I always check is how recent the activity is. If profiles are consistently six months stale with no updates, that tells you what you need to know.

The mainstream options like Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, and Facebook Dating all exist but they have heavy moderation and are built for relationships, not this kind of thing.

Worth checking out Souldate — straightforward signup and it doesn't throw paywalls at you immediately.

Happy to share more specifics if you want to go deeper.
