What we collect

If you create a profile we hold the details you give us: an email address, a display name, your stated age bracket, the location you choose, and anything you put in your profile or photos. We also log standard technical data — IP address, browser, and pages requested — as any web server does.

What we do with it

We use it to run the service: to show you people near the location you set, to deliver messages, and to investigate reports. We do not sell personal data.

Cookies and third parties

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your display preferences. Some pages link to other dating platforms; if you follow those links, the destination site's own privacy policy applies and we have no control over it.

Retention

Profile data is kept while your account is open and removed within 30 days of a deletion request. Server logs are rotated after 90 days. Records relating to an abuse report are retained longer where we are required to keep them.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] from the account address. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection regulator.

Children

DateNest is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete the account and its data.
