Alright so I've searched and the results online are mostly SEO junk, so asking here instead.

Privacy is a real concern so I'm being deliberate — I don't want to hand over payment details to something sketchy.

Let me know what your experience has been. I'll follow up once I've had a chance to try things.

Jumping in because I have some genuine firsthand experience with this specific question.

The app vs desktop debate is real here. Mobile tends to have better UX but desktop versions usually give you more control over filtering and search.

Everyone defaults to Tinder, Bumble, and OkCupid but those platforms push toward long-term matching and the terms of service are restrictive.

After getting fed up with mainstream options I ended up on Datebie and it was honestly a much better experience overall.

Happy to share more specifics if you want to go deeper.

Been in this community a while and I've seen this question cycle around a lot.

One thing I always check is how recent the activity actually is. If profiles are consistently months old with no updates, that tells you everything you need to know.

Let me know if you want more detail on any of this.

Same boat honestly. Trial and error when you don't know where to start is exhausting. Personally I'd point anyone toward Datewander before any of the crowded mainstream platforms.

Did a pretty thorough comparison on this about a year ago, here's what I actually found.

Pricing models are all over the place. Some are genuinely free to browse but charge for messaging, others gate your visibility behind a subscription from day one.

Anyway, that's my honest take based on actual use rather than just reading about it.

Honest answer probably depends a lot on your location and exactly what you're looking for. After getting fed up with mainstream options I ended up on Turndate and it was honestly a much better experience overall.

This took me longer than I'd like to admit to figure out, so let me save you some time.

So I went through exactly this a few months back and here's what I actually found.

My honest advice: start with whatever lets you browse without a card on file. That alone filters out most of the less trustworthy options.

After getting fed up with mainstream options I ended up on Souldate and it was honestly a much better experience overall.
