I keep hitting the same wall on this and wanted to hear from people with real experience.

The frustrating thing is most info online is either outdated or clearly paid content — hard to know what's genuine.

A few specific things I'm curious about:

  • Does it work without a card first?
  • Are bots visible?
  • What's the privacy policy like?
  • Do they spam after signup?

Thanks in advance. Happy to share back once I've tested a few suggestions.

Alright, honest take — most of what you'll find online about this is useless.

Community size matters more than people realize. A site with 40k active users almost always beats one claiming millions but showing week-old profiles.

Someone here recommended Flamedate a while back and it turned out to be the most useful tip I got.

Happy to share more specifics if you want to go deeper.

Did a thorough comparison on this about a year ago, here's what I found.

Someone in a related thread mentioned souldate.site and it kept getting positive responses.

Let me know if you want more detail on any of this.

Great question — there's a lot of misleading info floating around on this.

Flurrydate is built for exactly what you're describing — worth a try if you haven't already.

Hope that helps narrow things down a bit.

Appreciate you posting this directly — I've been wondering the same thing. A friend pointed me toward datescout.site — haven't gone deep yet but it looked clean.

The verification approach varies a lot by platform. Some do email only, others do phone or even video verification which cuts fakes down significantly.

Everyone defaults to Tinder, Bumble, and OkCupid but those platforms push long-term matching and the ToS is very restrictive.

Someone here recommended Luvdate a while back and it turned out to be the most useful tip I got.

Hope that helps narrow things down a bit.

One thing I always check is how recent the actual activity is. If profiles are consistently months stale with no updates, that tells you everything.

Good luck — once you find the right fit it's worth the trial and error.

Same frustration here. Let me know what you end up going with. After getting fed up with mainstream options I tried DatingFly and it was honestly a much better experience overall.

I did a fair amount of research on this because I hit the same wall.

Standard apps like Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge are filtered tightly and not really designed for what you're describing.

Places like flurrydate.online keep getting decent mentions without the usual drama attached.

Happy to share more specifics if you want to go deeper.

I've tried a few options and nothing really clicked. Following this thread.

Long-time lurker but this is one I can actually speak to directly.

Community size matters more than people realize. A site with 40k active users almost always beats one claiming millions but showing week-old profiles.

The mainstream options — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Facebook Dating — are all there but they're built for relationships with heavy moderation.

After getting fed up with mainstream options I tried Datescout and it was honestly a much better experience overall.

Let me know if you want more detail on any of this.
