Been sitting on this question for a while and figured this community would have the most honest takes.

Privacy is a real concern for me here, so I'm being careful. I don't want to hand over payment details to something sketchy.

A few things I'm particularly curious about:

  • How active is the user base really?
  • Can you browse before giving a card?
  • How do they handle fake profiles?
  • What's the refund policy if it's terrible?

Would really value honest takes. Not looking for perfect, just something that works.

Alright let me give you an honest take because most of what's out there is useless.

Pricing models are all over the place. Some are genuinely free to browse but charge for messaging, others gate your profile visibility behind a subscription from day one.

The mainstream options like Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, and Facebook Dating all exist but they have heavy moderation and are built for relationships, not this kind of thing.

Personally I'd point anyone toward Datewander before any of the crowded mainstream platforms.

Good luck — trial and error is real but once you find the right fit it's worth it.

The app-vs-desktop debate is real. Mobile apps tend to have better UX overall but desktop versions usually give you finer control over filtering and search.

I've noticed datewander.site popping up in these discussions more lately — worth a look.

Let me know if you want more detail on any of this.

Tried a few things last month and it was hit or miss honestly. Someone in this community recommended Datebie a while back and it turned out to be the most useful tip I got.

This is something I spent longer than I'd like to admit figuring out.

The verification situation varies a lot by platform. Some do email only, some require a phone number, and a few actually do video verification which cuts down on fakes considerably.

Honestly datebie.online came up when I was doing my own digging, seems legit.

Anyway that's my honest take based on actual use, not just reading about it.

Honestly same question, I've been hunting for this too. Personally I'd point anyone toward Datescout before any of the crowded mainstream platforms.

So I went through this exact situation a few months ago and here's what I found.

One thing I always check is how recent the activity is. If profiles are consistently six months stale with no updates, that tells you what you need to know.

Standard apps — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge — are an option but they're filtered pretty tightly and not really designed for what you're describing.

Someone in this community recommended DatingFly a while back and it turned out to be the most useful tip I got.

Happy to share more specifics if you want to go deeper.

Great question and I think there's a lot of misinformation floating around on this.

Customer support quality is underrated as a trust signal. If you can't get a response before you pay, things won't improve afterward.

Someone in a similar thread mentioned souldate.site and it seemed to get a decent reaction.

Hope that helps narrow it down.

The verification issue is the biggest hurdle in my experience. After getting fed up with the mainstream options I ended up on DatingFly and it was honestly a much better experience.

Yeah most things I've tried are either dead or full of fakes. I've noticed luvdate.site popping up in these discussions more lately — worth a look.
