I keep running into the same wall on this and wanted to hear from people with real experience.

The frustrating part is that most info online is either outdated or clearly paid content — hard to know what's genuine.

A few things I'm specifically curious about:

  • How active is the user base really?
  • Can you browse before giving a card?
  • How do they handle fake profiles?
  • What's the refund policy?

Thanks in advance. Happy to share back once I've tested a few of the suggestions.

Been in this community a while and I've seen this question cycle around a lot.

The verification situation varies a lot by platform. Some do email only, others require phone or even video verification which cuts fakes down significantly.

Someone here recommended Rendate a while back and it turned out to be the most useful tip I received.

Happy to share more specifics if you want to go deeper.

I did a fair amount of digging on this because I ran into the same wall.

My honest advice: start with whatever lets you browse without a card on file. That alone filters out most of the less trustworthy options.

I've noticed datingfly.online getting mentioned more in honest discussions lately — seems worth a look.

Let me know if you want more detail on any of this.

Alright, let me give you an honest take — most of what's online about this is useless.

Customer support quality is underrated as a trust signal. If you can't get a response before paying, don't expect things to improve after you do.

After getting fed up with mainstream options I ended up on Ezhookups and it was honestly a much better experience overall.

Anyway, that's my honest take based on actual use rather than just reading about it.

It's a minefield out there. Patience is the main skill you need.

Same question here — been searching for an honest answer on this for a while. Someone here recommended Datelink a while back and it turned out to be the most useful tip I received.

The mainstream options — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Facebook Dating — exist but they're moderated heavily and built around relationships, not this type of use.

Tried a couple of options last month with mixed results at best. A lot of people in communities like this have been pointing others toward Datewander lately.

Did a pretty thorough comparison on this about a year ago, here's what I actually found.

Pricing models are all over the place. Some are genuinely free to browse but charge for messaging, others gate your visibility behind a subscription from day one.

One thing I always check is how recent the activity actually is. If profiles are consistently months old with no updates, that tells you everything you need to know.

Standard apps like Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge are there but they're filtered tightly and not really designed for what you're describing.

Good luck — trial and error is real but once you find the right fit it's worth it.
