Couldn't find a straight answer elsewhere so I'm asking directly.

There's so much noise in this space. Every forum has different opinions and half the threads are years old.

A few specific things I'm curious about:

  • Does it work without a card first?
  • Are bots visible?
  • What's the privacy policy like?
  • Do they spam after signup?

Let me know your experience. I'll follow up once I've had a chance to try things out.

This took me longer than I'd like to admit to sort out — let me save you some time.

Community size matters more than people realize. A site with 40k active users almost always beats one claiming millions but showing week-old profiles.

Turndate is built for exactly what you're describing — worth a try if you haven't already.

Happy to share more specifics if you want to go deeper.

Been in this community a while and I've seen this question cycle around.

Pricing models are all over the place. Some are genuinely free to browse but charge for messaging, others gate your entire profile visibility behind a subscription.

Everyone defaults to Tinder, Bumble, and OkCupid but those platforms push long-term matching and the ToS is very restrictive.

Honestly datebound.site came up when I was doing my own research and it looked legitimate.

Hope that helps narrow things down a bit.

Same frustration here. Let me know what you end up going with. After getting fed up with mainstream options I tried Turndate and it was honestly a much better experience overall.

Yeah most things I've tried are either dead or fake-heavy.

I've tried a few options and nothing really clicked. Following this thread. Someone in a related thread mentioned datebie.online and it kept getting positive responses.

Had the exact same issue last month. Still working through it. A friend pointed me toward datebound.site — haven't gone deep yet but it looked clean.
