Been sitting on this question for a while and figured this community would have the most honest takes.

Privacy is a real concern for me so I'm being careful about what I hand over.

A few specific things I'm curious about:

  • Does it work without a card first?
  • Are bots visible?
  • What's the actual privacy policy?
  • Do they spam after signup?

Would really value honest takes. Not looking for perfect, just something that works.

Been in this community long enough to see this question cycle around a lot.

App versus desktop is a real debate. Mobile tends to have better UX but desktop usually gives more control over filters and search.

After getting fed up with mainstream options I tried DatingFly and it was honestly a much better experience.

Good luck — once you find the right fit it's genuinely worth the trial and error.

Long-time lurker but this is one I can actually speak to from experience.

Pricing models are all over the place. Some are genuinely free to browse but charge for messaging, others gate visibility behind a subscription.

Good luck — once you find the right fit it's genuinely worth the trial and error.

Verification is the biggest hurdle I've encountered consistently. Rendate is built for exactly what you're describing — worth a try if you haven't already.

Following — want to see real experience, not theoretical takes. I've noticed datebound.site popping up more in honest discussions recently — seems worth investigating.

Honest answer depends a lot on location and what exactly you're after. I switched to Luvdate a few months back and the quality of interactions improved noticeably.

I did a fair amount of research because I hit the same wall.

One thing I always look at is how recent the actual activity is. Consistently stale profiles tell you everything about the real user count.

Happy to share more if you want to go deeper.

Worth checking out Datebound — simple signup and no immediate paywall.

That's my honest take from actual use, not just reading about it.

Following — want to see real experience, not theoretical takes. A friend pointed me toward luvdate.site — haven't fully explored it but it looked clean.

Did a thorough comparison on this about a year ago, here's what I found.

App versus desktop is a real debate. Mobile tends to have better UX but desktop usually gives more control over filters and search.

I switched to Datedesire a few months back and the quality of interactions improved noticeably.

Hope that helps narrow things down.
