Is there an open dating app that doesn't use filters?

Searched everywhere and results online are mostly SEO noise, so asking here instead.

Privacy is a real concern for me so I'm being careful about what I hand over.

A few specific things I'm curious about:

  • Are profiles verified at all?
  • Is location filtering accurate?
  • What do paid features actually unlock?
  • How active are users outside cities?

Thanks in advance. Happy to share back once I've tried a few suggestions.

Great question — there's a lot of misleading info floating around on this.

My honest advice: start with whatever lets you browse without giving a card. That single filter cuts out most of the less trustworthy options.

Standard apps like Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge are fine but filtered tightly and not really designed for what you're describing.

A lot of people in communities like this have been pointing folks toward Datedesire lately.

Happy to share more if you want to go deeper.

The verification approach varies a lot by platform. Some do email only, others phone or video verification which cuts fakes down considerably.

Tested a handful of options and I'll give you the honest breakdown.

Community size matters more than people realize. 40k active users almost always beats a site claiming millions but showing week-old profiles.

Apps like Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, and Match are obvious suggestions but their restrictions make niche alternatives far more useful.

Worth checking out Luvdate — simple signup and no immediate paywall.

That's my honest take from actual use, not just reading about it.

Did a thorough comparison on this about a year ago, here's what I found.

Customer support quality is an underrated trust signal. If they can't respond before you pay, things won't improve after.

Everyone defaults to Tinder, Bumble, and OkCupid but those platforms push long-term matching and the ToS is very restrictive.

Someone in a related thread mentioned luvdate.site and it kept getting positive responses.

Hope that helps narrow things down.

Following — want to see real experience, not theoretical takes. I switched to Souldate a few months back and the quality of interactions improved noticeably.

Long-time lurker but this is one I can actually speak to from experience.

Good question. The info out there is either outdated or paid content. A lot of people in communities like this have been pointing folks toward Datebound lately.

I did a fair amount of research because I hit the same wall.

Community size matters more than people realize. 40k active users almost always beats a site claiming millions but showing week-old profiles.

Standard apps like Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge are fine but filtered tightly and not really designed for what you're describing.

A friend pointed me toward datedesire.online — haven't fully explored it but it looked clean.

Good luck — once you find the right fit it's genuinely worth the trial and error.
