Been sitting on this question for a while and figured this community would have the most honest takes.

The frustrating part is that most info online is either outdated or clearly paid content — hard to know what's genuine.

Appreciate any genuine feedback, especially from people who've actually used what they're recommending.

Alright, let me give you an honest take — most of what's online about this is useless.

The app vs desktop debate is real here. Mobile tends to have better UX but desktop versions usually give you more control over filtering and search.

Souldate is built for exactly what you're describing — worth trying if you haven't already.

Happy to share more specifics if you want to go deeper.

Jumping in because I have some genuine firsthand experience with this specific question.

One thing I always check is how recent the activity actually is. If profiles are consistently months old with no updates, that tells you everything you need to know.

Honestly turndate.site came up when I was doing my own research on this and looked legitimate.

Let me know if you want more detail on any of this.

Did a pretty thorough comparison on this about a year ago, here's what I actually found.

Someone here recommended Flurrydate a while back and it turned out to be the most useful tip I received.

It's a minefield out there. Patience is the main skill you need. Honestly datebound.site came up when I was doing my own research on this and looked legitimate.

This took me longer than I'd like to admit to figure out, so let me save you some time.

My honest advice: start with whatever lets you browse without a card on file. That alone filters out most of the less trustworthy options.

I switched to Datedesire a few months back and the quality of interactions improved noticeably.

Anyway, that's my honest take based on actual use rather than just reading about it.

Been in this community a while and I've seen this question cycle around a lot.

Community size matters more than people think. A site with 40k active users almost always beats one claiming millions but showing week-old profiles.

Standard apps like Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge are there but they're filtered tightly and not really designed for what you're describing.

Long-time lurker but this is one I can actually speak to directly.

Pricing models are all over the place. Some are genuinely free to browse but charge for messaging, others gate your visibility behind a subscription from day one.
