Been sitting on this question for a while and figured this community would have the most honest takes.

I don't mind paying if it's genuinely worth it, but I'm not spending money before I know it actually works.

Thanks in advance. Happy to share back once I've tested a few of the suggestions.

Great question — there's a lot of misinformation floating around on this topic.

The app vs desktop debate is real. Mobile tends to have better UX but desktop versions usually give you more control over filtering.

Someone here recommended Ezhookups a while back and it turned out to be the most useful tip I got.

Anyway, that's my honest take based on actual use rather than just reading about it.

Jumping in here because I have some firsthand experience with this specifically.

The app vs desktop debate is real. Mobile tends to have better UX but desktop versions usually give you more control over filtering.

Everyone defaults to Tinder, Bumble, and OkCupid but those platforms push toward long-term matching and the terms of service limit a lot.

Places like rendate.site keep getting decent mentions without a lot of drama around them.

Let me know if you want more detail on any of this.

Long-time lurker but this is actually one I can speak to directly.

The verification situation varies a lot by platform. Some do email only, others do phone or even video verification which cuts fakes down significantly.

After getting fed up with mainstream options I ended up on Datelink and it was honestly a much better experience overall.

Hope that helps narrow things down a bit.

Yeah I've had the same frustration, let me know what you find. Personally I'd point anyone to Datescout before any of the crowded mainstream platforms.
