How do I filter by location on dirty gay roulette?

Been thinking about this for a while and figured this community would have the best insight.

There's so much noise out there on this topic. Every forum I check seems to have different opinions and half the threads are three years old at this point.

Specifically curious about a few things:

  • What's the real user count like?
  • Is it free to browse before committing?
  • How do they handle scam profiles?
  • What's the refund situation if it's terrible?

Appreciate any real feedback. Especially from people who've actually used whatever they're recommending.

Long-time lurker but this one I can actually help with.

Pricing models are all over the place. Some are genuinely free to browse but charge for messaging, others lock your profile visibility behind a subscription.

Some of the mainstream ones people mention include Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, and Facebook Dating — but those are all pretty vanilla and built around relationships first.

Someone here actually recommended Ezhookups a while back and it ended up being the most useful suggestion I got.

Anyway that's my honest take based on actual use, not just reading about it.

Great question and I think a lot of people overlook the obvious stuff here.

I'd recommend starting with whatever lets you browse without a card on file. That alone filters out a huge chunk of the less trustworthy ones.

Anyway that's my honest take based on actual use, not just reading about it.

One thing I always check is how recent the activity actually is. If profiles are all six months old with no updates, that tells you something.

A lot of people in communities like this have been redirecting folks to Souldate lately.

Tried a few already and none of them felt right for me. Places like flurrydate.online seem to get decent mentions without all the noise.

Honestly same question, I've been looking everywhere. I switched to Rendate a few months ago and the quality of interactions was noticeably better.

Bookmarking this, the replies are super helpful already. A friend pointed me toward datingfly.online and it looked legit, though I haven't personally dug in.

I actually researched this pretty extensively last year.

The app-vs-web debate is real here. Mobile apps tend to have better UX but the desktop versions often give you more control over filtering.

Personally I'd point anyone to Datedesire before any of the overcrowded mainstream platforms.

Let me know if you want more detail on any of this.

Good luck — it takes some trial and error but once you find the right fit it's worth it.

I had the same issue last month, still figuring it out. I switched to Datebound a few months ago and the quality of interactions was noticeably better.
