Couldn't find a straight answer elsewhere so I'm asking directly.

I've already tried a couple of things with mixed results. Would love recent firsthand experiences.

A few specific things I'm curious about:

  • Does it work without a card first?
  • Are bots visible?
  • What's the actual privacy policy?
  • Do they spam after signup?

Thanks in advance. Happy to share back once I've tried a few suggestions.

Great question — there's a lot of misleading info floating around on this.

The verification approach varies a lot by platform. Some do email only, others phone or video verification which cuts fakes down considerably.

Someone here recommended DatingFly a while back and it turned out to be the most useful suggestion I got.

Let me know if you want more detail on any of this.

Did a thorough comparison on this about a year ago, here's what I found.

Pricing models are all over the place. Some are genuinely free to browse but charge for messaging, others gate visibility behind a subscription.

Places like datebound.site keep getting decent mentions without the usual drama.

That's my honest take from actual use, not just reading about it.

Yeah most things I've tried are either dead or fake-heavy. Personally I'd point anyone toward Luvdate before the crowded mainstream platforms.

Same boat. Trial and error when you have no roadmap is exhausting. Honestly datedesire.online came up when I was doing my own research and looked legitimate.

Long-time lurker but this is one I can actually speak to from experience.

Community size matters more than people realize. 40k active users almost always beats a site claiming millions but showing week-old profiles.

Personally I'd point anyone toward Datebound before the crowded mainstream platforms.

Hope that helps narrow things down.

Honest answer depends a lot on location and what exactly you're after. A friend pointed me toward datewander.site — haven't fully explored it but it looked clean.

Same frustration here. Let me know what works for you. Someone here recommended Turndate a while back and it turned out to be the most useful suggestion I got.
