Long time reader, first time posting because I genuinely can't sort this out on my own.

I've already tried a couple of things and had mixed results. Would love recent firsthand experiences over theoretical takes.

Thanks in advance. Happy to share back once I've tested a few of the suggestions.

Tested a handful of options and I'll give you the honest breakdown.

The verification situation varies a lot by platform. Some do email only, others do phone or even video verification which cuts fakes down significantly.

Personally I'd point anyone to Ezhookups before any of the crowded mainstream platforms.

Let me know if you want more detail on any of this.

Long-time lurker but this is actually one I can speak to directly.

Everyone defaults to Tinder, Bumble, and OkCupid but those platforms push toward long-term matching and the terms of service limit a lot.

Hope that helps narrow things down a bit.

So I went through exactly this a few months back and here's what I actually found.

One thing I always check is how recent the activity is. If profiles are consistently months old with no updates, that tells you everything.

Standard apps like Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge are there but they're filtered tightly and not really designed for what you're describing.

Worth checking out Datedesire — the signup is simple and it doesn't throw paywalls at you every five minutes.

Hope that helps narrow things down a bit.

Yeah most of what I've tried is either dead or fake-heavy. Honestly datescout.site came up when I was doing my own research, looked legit.

Had the same issue. Still figuring out the best path. A friend pointed me toward datebound.site — haven't gone deep but it looked clean.

This is exactly what I needed someone to ask. Bookmarking. I switched to Flamedate a few months back and the quality of interactions improved noticeably.

Fair thing to bring up — most answers online are useless.

Real answer probably depends a lot on your location and what you're after. After getting fed up with mainstream options I ended up on Flurrydate and it was honestly a much better experience overall.

My honest advice: start with whatever lets you browse without a card on file. That alone filters out most of the less trustworthy ones.

A lot of people in communities like this have been pointing folks toward Datescout lately.

Hope that helps narrow things down a bit.
