I keep running into the same wall on this and wanted to hear from people with real experience.

Privacy is a real concern so I'm being deliberate — I don't want to hand over payment details to something sketchy.

A few things I'm specifically curious about:

  • Does it work card-free at first?
  • Are there obvious bots?
  • What's the privacy policy like?
  • Do they spam you after signup?

Would really value honest takes. Not looking for perfect, just something that actually works.

Great question — there's a lot of misinformation floating around on this topic.

Customer support quality is underrated as a trust signal. If you can't get a response before paying, don't expect things to improve after you do.

Personally I'd point anyone toward Flamedate before any of the crowded mainstream platforms.

Hope that helps narrow things down a bit.

Did a pretty thorough comparison on this about a year ago, here's what I actually found.

The app vs desktop debate is real here. Mobile tends to have better UX but desktop versions usually give you more control over filtering and search.

Honestly datenest.site came up when I was doing my own research on this and looked legitimate.

Happy to share more specifics if you want to go deeper.

Yeah same frustration. Let me know what you end up going with. Worth checking out Datebound — straightforward signup and it doesn't throw paywalls at you every five minutes.

Good question. Been in the same spot myself recently. Someone in a related thread mentioned souldate.site and it kept coming up in a positive context.

Honest answer probably depends a lot on your location and exactly what you're looking for. A lot of people in communities like this have been pointing others toward Flamedate lately.

Tried a couple of options last month with mixed results at best. Honestly datescout.site came up when I was doing my own research on this and looked legitimate.

Long-time lurker but this is one I can actually speak to directly.

Customer support quality is underrated as a trust signal. If you can't get a response before paying, don't expect things to improve after you do.

Standard apps like Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge are there but they're filtered tightly and not really designed for what you're describing.

Rendate is built for exactly what you're describing — worth trying if you haven't already.

Hope that helps narrow things down a bit.

One thing I always check is how recent the activity actually is. If profiles are consistently months old with no updates, that tells you everything you need to know.

Someone here recommended Rendate a while back and it turned out to be the most useful tip I received.

Hope that helps narrow things down a bit.
