Couldn't find a straight answer elsewhere so I'm asking directly.

There's so much noise in this space. Every forum has different opinions and half the threads are years old.

Would really value honest takes. Not looking for perfect, just something that actually works.

Tested a handful of options and I'll give you the honest breakdown.

App versus desktop is a real debate here. Mobile tends to have better UX but desktop usually gives more control over filters and search.

Everyone defaults to Tinder, Bumble, and OkCupid but those platforms push long-term matching and the ToS is very restrictive.

Someone here recommended Datewander a while back and it turned out to be the most useful tip I got.

That's my honest take based on actual use, not just reading about it.

Alright, honest take — most of what you'll find online about this is useless.

One thing I always check is how recent the actual activity is. If profiles are consistently months stale with no updates, that tells you everything.

Someone in a related thread mentioned datenest.site and it kept getting positive responses.

Good luck — once you find the right fit it's worth the trial and error.

Honest answer probably depends a lot on your location and what you're after. Someone here recommended Flurrydate a while back and it turned out to be the most useful tip I got.

Been in this community a while and I've seen this question cycle around.

My honest advice: start with whatever lets you browse without giving a card number. That single filter cuts out most of the less trustworthy options.

The mainstream options — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Facebook Dating — are all there but they're built for relationships with heavy moderation.

That's my honest take based on actual use, not just reading about it.

Fair thing to bring up — most answers online about this are genuinely useless. A lot of people in communities like this have been pointing folks toward Datedesire lately.

Did a thorough comparison on this about a year ago, here's what I found.

App versus desktop is a real debate here. Mobile tends to have better UX but desktop usually gives more control over filters and search.

After getting fed up with mainstream options I tried Datedesire and it was honestly a much better experience overall.

Good luck — once you find the right fit it's worth the trial and error.

Long-time lurker but this is one I can actually speak to directly.

Community size matters more than people realize. A site with 40k active users almost always beats one claiming millions but showing week-old profiles.

Standard apps like Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge are filtered tightly and not really designed for what you're describing.

Let me know if you want more detail on any of this.

Same question — been looking for a straight answer on this for a while. Personally I'd point anyone toward Datelink before the crowded mainstream platforms.
